A Christmas break at Le Mans Country Club for a great gastronomic experience

For the end of year celebrations, the chefs at Le Mans Country Club have created two exceptional menus highlighting the classics of French cuisine. From the capon typical of the Sarthe region to foie gras served on warm gingerbread, each dish is simply unforgettable. Particular care has also been taken with desserts, giving our guests the difficult but delightful task of choosing between several different bûches de Noël (Christmas logs). For each dish Le Mans Country Club restaurant offers, we suggest the wine that would make the most suitable accompaniment. And, of course, this festive meal would not be complete without a glass of champagne. Entertainment has also been planned for New Year's Eve so you can leave 2019 on a festive note; a performance by the violinist Laure Schappler will be followed by a dance party with a DJ.

A gourmet adventure in the heart of Sarthe

After a wonderful meal at Le Mans Country Club, you will have all the energy you need to head for the Cité Plantagenêt, the old town of Le Mans, and explore this beautifully maintained district. It’s a unique pleasure to stroll along the strikingly well-preserved Gallo-Roman ramparts and among the small cobbled streets lined with mansions dating from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. You’ll soon understand why so many period films are shot in Le Mans. Finally, don’t leave the Sarthe without sampling some of its specialties such as rillettes, of course, spread on crunchy bread, but also Loué chicken and bouine, a blue cheese.
