An evolving venue

Le Mans' passion for the circus first took shape with the first edition of the Le Mans fait son cirque festival. Building on this success, the town decided to convert the former Sablons swimming pool into the Cité du Cirque, to provide a venue for this lively art form. Constantly growing and evolving, Le Plongeoir has received significant recognition by being awarded the Pôle national Cirque label in June 2023. Cultivating its inclusive project, its actions to disseminate the art and its numerous local and regional performances, the Cité du Cirque has become one of the emblems of Le Mans.
